Full day courses are typically from 9.00 or 9.30am to 3.30 or 4.00pm; half day courses are also possible. There’s no fixed audience limit, but up to 30-35 people keeps a course truly participative (assuming space for group work). Alec can adapt to larger audiences, using paired discussion and other techniques. Courses normally include handouts, and Alec is happy to email follow-up information to delegates afterwards.

Audiences include teachers, librarians, Early Years practitioners and others, and can be held anywhere in the UK or beyond (training sessions have ranged from Buenos Aires to Burma!). Overnight accommodation is normally needed unless courses are very near Alec’s home in West Yorkshire.
